My name is Amelia. I live in a town along the coast line of WA, Australia. I have lived here my whole life and so has my two younger brothers, although, my older siblings haven’t lived here their whole lives. The towns called Kalbarri. my family moved to Kalbarri just before I was born. Before they moved here the lived in Queens Land and travelled a bit.
Kalbarri has numerous of beaches and cliffs. We have a beach called Red Bluff, the reason it’s called that is because the beach is protected by a big bluff, a bluffs like a huge rock cliff thing. South of Red Bluff is where the costal cliffs all start. The cliff areas are called Eagle Gorge, Pot Ally (this is my favourite place because there is a little beach and a cliff that you jump into the water there), Natural Bridge and many others. Around the corner of Red Bluff is a beach called Jakes, this is the locals favourite beach. It has two main surfing areas where one area is bigger surf than the other. I have made many scars from hanging out at jakes with my friends. There is a little ledge in the reef called left that you lay down and hold onto when a wave comes through. If you let go you usually get dragged back into the reef by the wave and get cut up. The beaches are all connected up to one another. Next to the beach Jakes is Blue Holes, this is the tourists’ favourite place to go. It’s a snorkelling little area. The water is clear and chilled out there. Blue Holes then leads onto other beaches that then lead into the river.
Some interests-
I love to listen to music. I listen to lots of different types of music depending on what mood I’m in. I have written a whole blog post on the music I listen to.
I like to swim and chill at the beaches here. But on the holidays they are always crowded by tourists. And takes a while to find a nice area where there aren’t many people. We usually end up at some beach somewhere along the coastal cliffs because the tourists don’t tend to go there as often.
Hanging out with people is always interesting. I have five other siblings that I hang out with the most. Our family is pretty adventurous so that’s sick.
